On Thursday, May 11th, Upward Bound students visited Northeastern Illinois University and the Holocaust Museum. At Northeastern Illinois University, students toured the campus and dorms, and learned about the majors that NEIU has to offer including childhood education, secondary education, music, and art. UB students were able to see artwork created by local artists and students of NEIU.
After touring NEIU's campus, students toured the Holocaust Museum. UB Scholars attended a presentation where they were able to talk to a hologram of a Holocaust survivor as well as a presentation given by the son of two Holocaust survivors. Below are pictures from their visit.
