Kankakee Community College Upward Bound

Our first week of the KCC STEM Summer Program was a success! Students kicked things off with an exciting Police Academy experience led by Dr. Malvina, who brought in local police officers to share their career journeys and insights into the field. Throughout the week, students got hands-on by learning about fingerprinting, stepping into the role of private investigators, and exploring different real-life simulators used in law enforcement. It was an engaging and eye-opening week that gave students a deeper understanding of career pathways in criminal justice while having fun and building new skills. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
