Join Upward Bound in a FAFSA Workshop on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from 3:30pm-5pm at Kankakee Community College RM D122. We highly encourage for parents/guardians to come in order to submit a complete application with us. Please bring your 2023 tax information, FSA ID, SSN, and current bank statements. This workshop is ONLY for students who have not submitted their FAFSA application!!! Please make sure that your parent/guardian has access to their FAFSA account.

STIPEND UPDATE: Starting with stipends earned for the month of October, students are now REQUIRED to schedule an appointment with an UB Staff member to pick up their stipend checks. If you are unable to schedule an appointment, you are also able to pick up your check during homework labs, senior labs, college visits, etc. Students will receive a stipend report that explains how the stipend was earned and must provide a signature that the check was received by the Upward Bound student. For the month of November, we created punch card's. If you participate in five events this month, you will be entered in a raffle to win FREE movie tickets! When you participate in homework lab this week, you will be given a punch card and it will be your responsibility to hold on to these and bring them to an event so staff can hold punch the card!

Join Upward Bound on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 7:15am-4:00pm to tour Northern Illinois University campus. Students will need to arrive to KCC at 7:15am and must be picked up from KCC at 4:00pm. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
